Plana Faces U.S. M.I. Air... "Fostering the AAM pilot"
Plana, a future aviation mobility (AAM) aircraft developer, announced on the 22nd that it signed an MOU with M.I. Air, a U.S. company specializing in fostering aircraft pilots, and a letter of intent to purchase simulators and aircraft delivery on the 21st.
Plana CEO Kim Jae-hyung will supply flight simulators needed for pilot training to M.I. Air by 2026, and M.I. Air Chairman Sebastian Han plans to first introduce seven Plana aircraft by 2030 to operate a specialized pilot training course specialized in AAM. Plana has signed letters of intent to purchase gas worth a total of $700 million (about KRW 1 trillion) from Japan, Korea, and the United States from 2022, but this MOU and LOI are all the more meaningful in that they have decided on a partner to develop a pilot training protocol that can be the driving force for actual commercialization.
